Sierra Railroad 1955

Modeling the Sierra Railroad in Twain Harte, CA

West Side Prototype Photos

WSLCo #3 , a two truck Heisler re-gauged to Standard gauge, working the Tuolumne Mill site. Date unknown by Richard F Thomas. The WSLCo #3 is probably my most favorite non Sierra locomotive but the WSLCo #15 is a close second.

WSLCo locomotives # 8 and 14 meeting at Baker’s Siding in 1958. Original photo by Stan Kistler.  It looks like there might be some track maintenance work taking place by look of the group of men  standing to the right of the loaded log train.
